The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) has granted funds for the Center of Excellence on Petrochemical and Materials Technology (PETROMAT), Chulalongkorn University, to produce “Ultra We: UV Sterilizer Box” for hospitals. The boxes will be used to disinfect medical devices and equipment, with the first batch to the Rajavithi Hospital.
“Ultra We: UV Sterilizer Box” can effectively disinfect germs from various items, such as face masks and tools. The Ultra We: UV Sterilizer Box is a 20-litre container with two interior UVC tubes that can generate 26 microwatts per square centimeter and disinfect germs and viruses in 30 minutes. On the exterior is a power switch, a timer that has up to 90 minutes setting, and a safety system that controls the box to operate only when the lid is completely closed. The Ultra We box has been accredited by the Megafil Co., Ltd. for surface disinfection efficiency following AS 1807.23-2000 standards.
